AISC presently has 35 full and part time faculty members to serve 225 students.
Faculty members are recruited in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada
and are hired locally if properly qualified. Most faculty members are American
with some Canadians and British teachers employed. Most have advanced degrees
and are certified by North American certification boards. Overseas hired teachers
are brought on two year contracts and often elect to stay for additional years.
Some have been at AISC for 5 or more years.
Teachers are encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities and are sent to conferences and
workshops to improve their skills when needed.
The very low teacher/pupil ratio allows for close interaction between teachers
and their students. Class sizes range from 5 to 18 students and the average
is about 12 students in a class. Teachers often spend extra time with their
students after class reviewing class lessons and teachers also supervise students
in after school activities.
AISC employs a full time Counselor, full time Nurse, full time Librarian and English as a Second
Language and Learning Disabilities personnel. The student’s personal needs and requirements are always
given serious consideration.
Quality and experience are the main considerations in the hiring of faculty for AISC. We believe that
our students deserve the best teachers we can find.
